The journey to find your sonic identity as a musician and producer is one full of technical and engineering challenges. These obstacles ultimately disrupt your creative headspace and workflow.

We're excited to unveil the third in our GGD Studio Cabs series: Goldstack. Goldstack is a collection of amazing-sounding historic and modern examples of the most revered cabinet and speaker combination in rock - the classic British 4x12 loaded with "green-backed" M-magnet speakers. Known for its articulate, resonant and engaging sound, this combination of cab and speaker can sound silky, raucous, vocal, or crushingly heavy depending on the era and recording methods used. Goldstack gives you access to museum-grade vintage pieces through to polished-sounding contemporary reproductions, so you can explore the sonic heritage for yourself.

  • Recorded at Real World Studios, this amazing live room isn't just great for drums, but just about any instrument you can throw at it.
  • The air control is a post-compressor EQ, used to add clarity and sheen. The EQ points change in relation to the drum type selected.
  • The saturation control is extremely versatile, allowing for soft clipping, to pure distortion. Great for shaping your drums, and helping them cut through the mix.

Producer & Mix Engineer (Born of Osiris, Humanity's Last Breath, Silent Planet)
Cabs are the most important thing for good tone. Ive been using GGD Cabs for my tones for a while and I'm really impressed. Knowing how good Nolly's ear is and how much he nerds out on speakers, I trust GGD to capture the best cabs, the best way for each release and they always deliver.

Producer (We Are The Ocean, Canterbury, Martin Grech)
Within five minutes of installing @getgooddrums smash and grab the latest mix I was working on was sounding better! Smash mode on my parallel drum bus added the perfect amount of hype and dirt whilst still remaining controlled. 5 minutes later I had dialled in a fantastic saturated lead vocal sound using aggressive compression and tape saturation, definitely not just for drums! I love how this plugin can go from the subtle enhancement to complete annihilation. I can see Smash and Grab replacing many of my go to plugins from now on!
Jeremy Reeves
Producer & Mix Engineer (Paloma Faith, Little Mix, Craig David)
GGD has quickly become part of my go to Arsenal for acoustic drums. The detail in these drum samples, as well of the comprehensive easy to use interface, makes for quick and efficient drum tracks in any genre artist that im working with. You would be doing yourself a disservice if these drums were not part of your production.
